I fired my old life coach — he talked too fast, charged too much, and once told me to "leverage my synergies" before I'd finished my coffee. My new life coach is a turtle. He charges nothing, has never once used the word "synergy," and in the time it takes most gurus to say "hustle harder," he has blinked exactly once. Thoughtfully.
His gospel: every bad decision you've ever made was made quickly. Nobody ever said, "I took my time, considered every angle, and still married the wrong person." The turtle does one step, then considers whether the second step is truly necessary, then naps on it.
His morning routine: no alarm, no sunrise grindset. Stretch one leg, then the other leg, several minutes later. Breakfast is a leaf — just the nearest one. By mid-morning he's at his thinking rock, considering one (1) thought for the rest of the day: "What if I just... didn't?"
